The Tanzania Home Office project stands as one of the recent endeavors I have had the pleasure of working on, and it's been particularly gratifying. Especially in the post-pandemic era, with the transition to remote work revealing its inherent efficiency, the concept of having a dedicated workspace within homes has gained traction. Consequently, we have witnessed the emergence of synthesis designs that blend the comfort and ambiance of home with the professionalism and seriousness associated with office environments.
After receiving several important briefs from the client and compiling my 'challenges' notes, as is customary, I commenced the conceptual design phase. The paramount objective was to create a warm, professional yet cozy working environment, harmonizing with the existing home design while catering to the client's new requirements. To achieve this, I meticulously curated a mood board, leveraging accessories, lighting fixtures, light colour and intensity, as well as materials and textures.
Another crucial aspect of the project was to ensure consistency in design style across multiple furniture pieces and accessories. At the client's specific request, I prepared a procurement list post-conceptualization and visualization stages, including multiple similar alternatives for each item. This list, presented visually as depicted below, enhanced clarity and comprehension for effective decision-making.
