CC1204 Fundamentals Of Creative Authoring Tools Task 3
Shown below is 3 logo design by myself and 2 of my other group members for our company called `Kopi De`Lepaks`along with its description below the design. This coffee shop will be mainly targeted to teenagers who always need a place to hang out whereby the place would also be suitable for them since the word “lepak” is in the companys` name which means to hangout, hence, suits the theme.
So, we did an online survey using Google and managed to get responds from 15 people. The questions are stated as the following.
1) What is your opinion on this design?
2) What can be changed from this design?
3) Which logo design would you choose?
For Design 1
1) Respondents mention that the color scheme is dull and does not match with the fonts, while others state that the choices of colors are nice, decent and simple. However, some mentioned that the design fits to the teenage vibes and attractive but the coffee bean design needs to be changed and fonts as well as it might be difficult to attract customers and unreadable.
2) Changes that could be made include by making changes to the fonts so that it is more readable, change the color scheme so it is more saturated and pop up. Improving and changing the design of the teabag as well as the coffee bean to more rounded or oval. Some also pointed out regarding the word `DELE PAKS` to add in the apostrophe for consistency.

For Design 2
1) From this question, respondents mentioned how the color palette is good, okay and simple although some mention that the color is too basic dark as well as the logo which people commented is attractive, minimalistic and vintage inspired designs which does give out the idea of a coffee shop the moment it is being seen, however, some mentioned that the design does not represent minimalism as it is too mainstream.
2) From question 2, a lot of feedback was regarding the fonts which needs to be changed by which the sizing could also be better. Other changes recommended include using lighter colors, using different sizes of the coffee logo and with a wider circular diameter.

For Design 3
1) The design is very eye catching and kind of pops out in such a way with very good choices of colors for a retro look which works very well, however there is just too much going on where someone mentioned to remove the background because its typical but overall, the logo gives a good way of promoting especially to the malay because it gives out that malay vibes.
2) Some suggestions are to add a coffee bean logo and a cup at the bottom to show its related to coffee as well as to change to font to make it easily readable. Moreover, to change the placement of the cup to the center and to change certain colors so it does not blend with one another. Others also mention to remove the background or to change it into a plain colored one as well as to rename the business as they think it’s too wordy.
