As the only woman designer ever to have worked for Factory Communications (Factory Records), it was obvious that I
should design the cover of a book written by my friend Audrey Golden about the women who worked for or were somehow
involved with the famous Manchester, England based independent record label. Both designs were rejected by the publisher’s
“marketing department”, ironically because they felt neither would sell the book. The women loved them.
