On the Tuscan Roads
Take a picturesque, mountainous landscape and thousands of cyclists, from pros to beginners. Throw in technical and medical support teams, add a sprinkling of volunteers, refreshment points, and roads closed to traffic. Decorate the route with a crowd of enthusiastic and supportive spectators. Finally, sprinkle it with sunlight and fresh air, and we will arrive at the Tuscany bicycle race. I was lucky enough to be able to follow and photograph the events of the Italian one-day cycling race, the Strade Bianche and the Strade Bianche Gran Fondo.
