Ghostwriting for executives and shareholders
Clayton & McKervey, a large accounting, tax, and business strategy advisory firm in the Detroit region reached out to me on LinkedIn for freelance copywriting services. They needed someone with experience in the markets they served (manufacturing, automation, technology, and architecture and engineering services) to ghostwrite blog posts on behalf of their senior consultants and shareholders. We've had a successful working relationship for over two years.
This assignment was an executive guide addressing U.K. small-to-medium enterprise (SME) audience on expansion to the U.S. The shareholder for whom I was ghostwriting provided me with a bullet list of key points she wanted to cover along with some trusted research sources that I used to develop the article. I took those source materials and expanded them into the final copy.
