Bosch India Foundation
Social Engagement for a Sustainable Future
Over the past 60 years, Bosch in India has created a space for itself in the society not just as a technology and innovation pioneer, but also as a company that ‘cares’. Our corporate social responsibility endeavours, known as ‘Bosch Social Engagement’, aim to make a difference in the communities in which Bosch operates. As illustrated below, Bosch Social Engagement has three pillars: Bosch Limited CSR, Primavera and Bosch India Foundation.
Supported by Bosch Group companies in India, the Bosch India Foundation focuses on Holistic Village Development for Sustainable Improvement. Its current work includes improvement of 80 villages around various Bosch locations in Anekal & Bidadi (Karnataka), Nashik (Maharastra) and Jaipur (Rajasthan).

Areas of Intervention

• Economic Development
• Health & Hygiene
• Education
• Environment & Water
• Infrastructure
TWW Films created and presented this campaign while shooting and editing in remote villages of Jaipur. This Film focuses on the issues faced by the female workforce in rural places. Under the #WeEmpower campaign, Bosch initiated Holistic Village Development(HVD) program in Jaipur since year 2015 providing sewing facilities, skills training, economic development, health and hygiene, infrastructure and basic education for women.
Presently this project is implemented in 44 villages of 8 GramPanchayat.

While working on the project with TWW, I was involved in the process of production and editing from scratch. It was challenging to capture the problems faced by the women groups in the remote regions of Rajasthan. The film captures the journey of these brave women moving against the stereotypes to lead a sustainable and healthy life.
