'Wilhelmina Heart' embodies sophistication but with a slight twist of 'quirky elegance'.
A talented artist friend of mine commissioned me to create her logo and I was so thrilled to be working on it as this is my first 'real' hand lettered logo. Her brand is about empowerment while embracing your quirky, unique side, it's about expression and being able to communicate that in a fun way. The name behind the brand 'Wilhelimina' is inspired by her mother's middle name. Her products will be a range of accessories from tote bags to head scarves to jewellery inspired by animals, nature and fantasy.
Some sketches I did in slightly varied styles based on what the client liked, the heart was designed by the artist, I re-drew it and tweaked it to get the rought textured effect since she wanted a bit of quirkiness
A line variation I was trying out, but I thought it was a little too much
She settled with this style, so I redrew the type at a larger scale and tidied up the letters a bit
