Inspired by the indomitable spirit of Thomas Alva Edison, who persevered in inventing the light bulb through countless attempts, our approach as designers embraces his dedication to innovation. We recognize that true innovation is not achieved through a mere handful of attempts, but rather through an ongoing loop of trials, tests, and evaluations. Reflecting this notion, the logo takes the form of an infinity sign or loop, symbolizing the perpetual pursuit of improvement. Similarly, the design process follows a nonlinear path, repeatedly iterating until we attain the most refined outcomes. The integration of the lowercase letters ‘d’ and 'c' within the loop signifies the inseparable connection between design and the iterative journey. The logo deviates from conventional loops to emphasize the distinctiveness of our meticulous and intentional design procedure, setting it apart from other innovations. In summary, the logo embodies the essence of innovation and the systematic approach we adopt to deliver exceptional results. As the 2023 Design Code follows the theme of Design Innovation, it was focused on generating a slogan that fits the entire event. The slogan bears the word originality, which has been created to bring out the real essence of the logo along with the motivation towards innovation. The words "Where innovative ideas spark" bring out the aspect of generating new design ideas that cater to problem solving in the design context.
