New Horizons - Dieric Bouts Festival

After over five centuries, the Flemish Master Dieric Bouts is back in Leuven for the ‘New Horizons’-themed city festival. Bouts takes centre stage because we’re still eager to explore new horizons today, just like he did in the 15th century. He’s got the city festival’s producers fired up today, and he’s sure to inspire you. Expand your horizons in Leuven four months long.
M-Museum Leuven announcement

"A museum is not just a collection of artifacts;
it's a living narrative waiting to be heard.
With a historical figure as your guide,
each piece becomes a page,
each gallery a chapter, and the entire exposition
 an immersive journey through time.
"
- Katrien Deneuf, Head of Kunst Leuven.

Museum integration
For an integration in the city hall of Leuven, I made a projection installation with a fully motion captured Bouts. The movements of actor Tom Van Bauwel are recorded with a Rokoko motion suit and Epic Live Link face tracking.

These recordings were further used in the exhibition 'Kennis Aan De Ketting'.
The exhibition in the University Library shows you in an illuminating way the role science played and continues to play in the discussion about fake news, misleading information and (un)reliable sources.
