College Work (2005-2007)
All works were made completely by hand while attending Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS. They were either cut and molded from flat sheets of metal or carved from wax and then cast. (More will be added soon.)
This is a set of wedding rings that I made for myself and my now husband. It was carved in blue jewelers wax then cast with 14K white gold.
Vous et nul autre means You and No Other in French. My husband is French hence his is in English and mine is in French. The star represents his star tattoo on is inner wrist. The crescent moon represents new beginnings. It looks weathered because it's supposed to be a piece of old parchment paper that has been wrapped around one's finger then sealed with a wax seal.
This was one of the first projects while taking the Silversmithing course. It's a necklace made from copper, nickel, and brass. On the front and back of each of those plates to the left is a representation of the 7 deadly sins to me. Each plate is just on the ring like a key would be on a keyring and move as they will when worn.
