I’ve done a few events during my years as a designer, but this is one that stayed in my memory because I do think its design is quite timeless.
The concept is quite simple. We had a similar event so we adapted the logo from there and we readjusted it to serve various purposes.
The colours, shapes and approach were handpick to represent the “azulejo” that is a form of expression very typical of Portugal. You can normally spot azulejo in a big wall, where a lot of ceramic tiles are very carefully aligned to form a painting or a pattern. Normally these compositions are made in tones of blue.
These wall art is a very particular form of expression and it was a very good way to show a bit of Portuguese identity to the represented company to the international clients.
Many graphic elements were developed for the event, but today I bring you the ones that stood the test of time.
