catalogue cover
In 2019 it was asked from me for a cover for a catalog that was a transition between 2 brands, so I had more freedom in developing a more non linear graphic approach.
I am going to list and show all 4 phases of the process.
During phase 01 I was playing a bit with the idea of 3d objects combined with gradients. During this phase I draw a lot of elements that would be used in the later phases. I also tried a different approach to the logo, but it didn’t make it into the next phases.
During phase 02 a new idea was worked on. The idea was to work with a more kinetic form, colours would also help in the idea of movement.
This draft didn’t move on, but it seemed the most interesting in graphic terms.
In phase 03 the idea of a form developed from the middle, with 3d elements, was the thing. So drafts developed around this idea. There was also an input to add a few christmas elements and those started to appear in some drafts.
Phase 04, and last, cemented a lot of things, minor changes were made all around and the final touches were made. The chosen gradient was a mix of the brand colour - blue, and a bit of a christmas colour - red. I’m not a fan of how the result looks on screen but on paper it looks quite good (that was the intent all along)
