Pediophobia, i.e. compulsive fear of dolls, in this case porcelain figurines. I have no fear, but the fact that people sometimes use extremely fragile material to make extremely expensive pieces for the top of the cabinets is bizarre in itself. I never dared to touch them because I was afraid of breaking them, even though it would have been so nice to play with the disproportionately large clown lurking on my grandparents' shelf. In this series, I took samples of several pieces and played a little on the surreal effect that many of us are afraid of, but for some reason we still preserve them with fear.
