The making of Australia's leading cashback brand
How shape a brand and position it as a disruptor in the cashback market? We explored the essence of what it truly feels like to receive free money. The answer; The World Of Yaytopia. Yaytopia transformed Cashrewards from a startup brand into a disruptive force within the cashback category. A unique brand leveraging heavily on colour, typography and tone-of-voice to spark genuine intrigue through education in the fledgling category.

Every time a member gets cashback, they experience a 'Yay' moment. The brand platform dramatises these moments in Yaytopia. A realm where everything you see is uplifting and joyous. Members can get cashback on virtually anything and Yaytopia is the world of cashback that Cashrewards takes them to.

Our immersive brand experiences, retail sales campaigns, B2B and display media have not only facilitated customer/merchant acquisition but also sparked excitement among Cashrewards' extremely active users. By challenging the conventional practices of the internal studio, we crafted uniquely creative branded moments that went beyond the norm. Digging into our customer data I developed creative strategies by uncovering customer and merchant problems and developing creative which spoke to these insights.

Throughout this journey I managed the creative team and worked closely with the Copy and Social leads. Mentoring Designers through career pathways of Art Direction, UX, Motion, HTML5 and Illustration. Creating a culture that ran extremely high, a key factor in our regular one on one catchups.

The results speak for themselves. During this time, the business witnessed exponential growth in brand salience, monthly active customers and acquisitions. Solidifying Cashrewards' position as the leader in the Australian Cashback market.
