The basic theme of new brand identity for Japan Society New York is ‘Harmony of two cultures’.
Inspired by Japanese crafts and architecture, the logo has cross stripes, which create the letter J and the letter S.
They are joined together and compose a Japanese letter, which stands for the sun, days, and Japan.
It also has the image of a window that opens for cross cultural communication and interaction.
