This redesign challenge focused on improving an existing app dedicated to in-person restaurant reservations. The original app faced difficulties in providing users with immediate reservation options nearby, as well as a lack of filtering capabilities that catered to their individual preferences and requirements.

My objective for the redesign was to create a convenient and personalized service that not only catered to users' reservation needs but also explored the social aspect of dining experiences. To achieve this, I introduced two distinct sorting methods within the app: "By Reservation" and "By Experience." These sorting options allow users to navigate the app based on their specific preferences.

The redesigned app incorporates several key features to enhance the user experience. Firstly, it provides real-time information on open reservations, ensuring users have immediate access to available tables. Secondly, the app intelligently calculates and displays the distance to restaurants based on the user's current location, ensuring convenience and efficiency in decision-making.

Moreover, I addressed the lack of filtering options by implementing a robust set of filters that consider user preferences and needs. This empowers users to customize their search results and discover restaurants that align with their dietary requirements, ambiance preferences, and unique demands.

To further enhance the social element of the dining experience, I introduced a social tie-in feature. This feature allows users to view friends who have previously dined, commented, or reviewed specific restaurants, providing valuable insights and recommendations from trusted sources within their network.

Through these redesign efforts, the goal is to create an app that not only streamlines the reservation process but also elevates the overall dining experience by catering to individual preferences and incorporating a social dimension.
