Navarasa
Rasa is an emotion experienced by the audience created by the facial expression of the performer. The Navarasa, in the scriptures refers to the nine categories of the emotional state of human beings. These are Shringara (love), Hasyam (laughter), Raudram (anger), Karunyam (compassion), Bhibhatsya (disgust), Bhayanakam (fear), Veeryam (courage), Adbhutam (wonder), Shantam (peace).
