Degree Show Stand

The project that I created for my degree show was quite a unique one and in light of this I wanted to create a unique way to present it. Instead of the traditional 6 A1 boards pinned to the two 8'x4' boards that are provided I wanted to create a structure that couls house all my work while creating work on the boards that would demonstrate the essence of my entire project.
Overall view of the stand including video playing of the performance instalaon and TEDxDerby talk, the iBook I created for the project, stand I designed and made to showcase my work, and 2D materials to showcase the feel of the project.
The structure that I designed and made, housed 6 double sided A2 frames that could be slid in and out on runners so that each A2 board could be viewed individually. This enabled me to show 12 A2 sheets explaining the projects I had been working on. These are shown in a separate project.

Alongside the structure I designed and made I wanted to utilise the remaining space to give viewers and instant feel of the atmosphere of my project. For this I crated an A0 sized mosaic of key images from the project made up of A5 shapes mounted in foam board. Included in this were a series of QR codes that linked to the online material relating to the project.

The stand was designed by me and then I made it from offcuts I acquired from the ReMake project at the SIlk Mill Museum. After I finished making the stand I made a table for it to sit on shown seperately below.
