'The Hoax' the closing play of the English theatre festival of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai written and directed by me and my friend, Jaaee Khandekar. It was staged on 10th February, 2023. 'The Hoax' follows the story of a grieving mother, still stuck in the past and a journalist with some secrets about her poet son. Accompanied by vivid memories of a man who played the protagonist in both their lives, the duo tries to find themselves and their understanding of love while uncovering a hoax that would soon change their lives. 

The trailer, attached above, was directed by myself and my co-director, Jaaee. The cinematography was done by Elizabeth Fernandes and Aryaman Verma and was edited by Aryaman Verma. The lead actors of the play, Khushi Tambi, Divye Lal and Arnav Joshi can be seen in picture.

The videos attached above and below are the reels that were created for the PR of the play. They are a short glimpse into the lives of the characters. The reels were directed by me and Jaaee Khandekar. The cinematography and editing of these reels was done by me. Yash Deshpande and Khushi Tambi are pictured in these reels.

The technical setup, that is the lights and sound team included Seedhesh Nair, Allen, Suryansh Khare, Aaron D'sa, Jerry Mathew, Tanishq Parab, Rishika Singh, Saloni Mali, Tanish Jacob-Rego and Kyle. The set design and setup was done by Gunjan Singhvi, Hamza Patrawala, Atiyah, Meghna Banjan, Rashmi, Vencel, Eshna, Helina, Ashriel and Rahul Ghoshal. The music for the play was composed and performed by Renee Philip and her team. The make was done by Jynelle and her team. 

The play was received very well by a house-full audience and got appreciation from the English department faculty. This play taught me a lot of new things and helped me meet a lot of very talented people. It was an enriching experience that helped me transform and nurture my own art.
