"Hot neptune"
Hot neptunes are exoplanets that have similar sizes and chemical composition to the large ice giant Neptune in our solar system, but are in extremely close orbit around their stars, usually at a distance comparable to the distance of Mercury from the Sun. Due to their proximity to the stars, hot neptunes have a very high surface temperature, which makes them uneducated objects on which conditions for life as we know it cannot exist. However, hot neptunes are an interesting object to study, as they help scientists better understand the processes of planet formation in distant galaxies and the evolution of planetary systems in the universe.
