The club was founded in 1927 and is the oldest club in Saudi Arabia. The most successful period in Al-Ittihad's history was the 1990s and mid '00s, when the club won numerous honours both domestically and in Asia. The team won consecutive AFC Champions League titles in 2004 and 2005. Going on to compete in the 2005 FIFA Club World Cup. Fahad Mosaed Al-Muwallad Al-Harbi  born 14 September 1994 in Jeddah) is a Saudi professional footballer who plays for Saudi Professional League club Al-Ittihad as Winger. On 31 July, he scored the second goal for Saudi Arabia against Croatia in the 2011 World Cup in Colombia. Fahad Al-Muwallad is one of the most promising and fastest players in the Asian. He started his professional career with Al-Ittihad when he was only 16 years old against Al-Raed. In 2012, he entered the field in the last 10 minutes and scored the winning goal against Guangzhou Evergrande F.C. to qualify with his team to Asian Champions League Semifinals.
