GRID is a Connected Appliances project, aims to make consumer goods connect to a home network and control them with a Smart device such as an iPad. The project’s first milestone was to intergrate a washing machine and a oven to work over a home network seamlessly.
My primary objective is prototyping the Washing Machine screens and all the animations as close to a real product as possible for the upcoming usability tests and to make a working guideline for the R&D department.
Prototyping: Created fully working iPad prototype for upcoming usability testing and presentations.
Usability Test: In coordination with GfK-SirValUse (Munich) we have run usability tests.
Polish: With the feedback from usability tests, we did few more iterations on the design before presenting to executives and IFA 2013.
Design Specs: After a succesful IFA 2013 event and approval from managment, final specs have been determined and design specs prepared.
