A new craft brewery restaurant in a growing area of Madison, WI had fantastic food, amazing beers, a great logo, and brightly colored menus that did not fit the brand image or show the quality of the restaurant. With a continually changing menu utilizing fresh, local food, Next Door Brewing needed a menu that would be flexible, easy to update, and easy to print in-house.

The menu was reorganized to include foods under smaller categories to allow for a more divided and easy to navigate layout. Icons were designed to inform viewers of menu items that are gluten free and vegetarian. A grayscale design was chosen to minimize printing costs, and to allow for menus to be printed on a variety of paper colors for distinction between past and current versions. Extra space was left in each section for changes in the number of menu items being offered. The design was adapted to be easily edited in Microsoft Word for the restaurant's continued use.
