Smart Product Catalog
Summary:
A multi-platform (desktop and iOs) tool used to reduce and potentially eliminate the need for expensive, bulky printed catalogs that are out of date as soon as the ink is dry. This tool has become part of GE globally and allows for product research and quick cost estimations from virtually anywhere.
Goals:
To create a self updating "smart catalog" that allows account managers and distributors to communicate catalog product updates on the go.

True “new releases”. Content can be periodically removed so items that are no longer new are not taking up the account managers time.
Registration information. Users will fill out a registration form that captures their relevant information and allows for future communications.
Auto-updating software. When downloading the latest set of .pdfs, the system will check for any software updates that will need to take place.
