PROPOSITION
Reflected in its name, the Serif Stool takes its form from its typography origins: a subtle, elegant extension at the end of a stroke.
Like how a serif serves to lead the eyes along the geometry of a letter, the stoolʼs extended legs gently curve and morph into an armrest, using the natural flow of the oak grains to achieve this subtle visual movement.
FINAL PRODUCT
The curved arm rest that extends halfway through the back can also function as a back rest that hugs comfortably around the waist, and is wide enough to act as a side tray, eg. for putting drinks.
