Ruby shift
These are illustrations for the Ruby programming language conference that took place in Ukraine in 2012. Like any important event, the conference consisted of several stages, and I had to illustrate each one.

I chose a red monochrome palette to emphasize the "ruby" theme and came up with three programmer-heroes whose adventure defined the structure of the conference.

The heroes sit in a tavern and plan their upcoming journey. They say that there is a treasure somewhere! Luckily, they have a map. At this stage, participants are introduced to the conference plan and goals.
The adventure begins! The heroes stand before the unknown but are ready to overcome any difficulties.
On their journey, they meet a magical unicorn that points them in the right direction and gives them courage. This unicorn is an allegory of the conference sponsors.
Then the characters meet a wise genie. He spent thousands of years inside a ruby lamp and mastered programming to perfection. He shares his wisdom, while conference participants give their talks.
At some point, our heroes encounter a terrifying monster. This section is devoted to programming and development problems.
But thanks to help and joint efforts, our heroes overcome all difficulties. This section describes problem-solving, the need for teamwork, and the importance of mutual assistance within the community.
Ultimately, our heroes find treasures for which they set out on this journey. This treasure is the knowledge gained during the conference, the acquired experience, and new friends!
At the request of the client, I also drew a large number of decorative elements for the presentation.
Thanks for watching,
and good luck finding your own treasures!
