BROKEN VESSEL NEWSPRINT ZINE
This newsprint zine was created with the prompt "Write about something God is teaching you right now." Printed on a 11 x 17 piece of newsprint, my publication features my testimony of sexual assault and mistreatment in relationships as well as my conversations with the Lord during and after this point. I use the visual of flowers, being something that bloom through dirt and mess, to create a beautiful result. I also bring in my life verse, 2 Corinthians 4:7, on spread 6. The beauty of life is that, as vessels for the Lord, we may be cracked in many ways, but it is through our brokenness that God's light from within us is able to shine through and change the lives of many. I recognize that the gift of God is all that matters, I am just a vessel. And it is through my story of hurt and pain that I am able to glorify His name and speak into the lives of others who may have a similar story.
