Nutopian Messiah - University Art Video

Nutopian Messiah is a 30-second Video Art piece that explores the life of John Lennon in the late 60s and early 70s. John Lennon and Yoko Ono were prominent opponents of the US intervention in the Vietnam War, which led to immigration problems for John when trying to enter the country. On April 1st (April Fool's Day), John and Yoko announced the birth of the country "Nutopia" to humorously address John's immigration problems. During this time, Lennon's public image also began to resemble the archetype of Jesus Christ. The video asks the question, "What would happen if someone took the concept of John Lennon as a messiah seriously?"
