Compose : Create & Caffeinate

Compose is my thesis project at MIAD.

Compose is a creative place making space for local musicians to perform, coffee enthusiasts to drink, and most importantly, for everyday people to unwind and learn something new.
Not only do they offer culturally diverse music and handcrafted beverages, but they provide you with the materials and instruction you need to create something you always wanted to make time for.
Whether it be wood, paper, paint or fabric, they have your new weekly project covered. The crafts could be anything from origami to screen printing.

Components for this project include: social media presence on three platforms, responsive website, hand-rendered typography and patterns, direct mail, origami takeaways, wood laser-cut Compose logo, 3D renderings of space, examples of DIY projects, branded coffee bags and mugs, and handmade chalkboards and shelving compliments of my father.
Social Media Elements include LIVE Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds.
The Compose website was created by me and it is responsive. Find out for yourself at http://jamiepeplinski.com/compose
These are 3D renderings of what the actual Compose space could look like. There are three separate spaces: the music area, DIY area, and quiet study area. There would be baristas and bartenders and a new project and band weekly.
The next few photos display what the space I had at MIAD looked like. I attempted to make this space look like an actual cafe by having hand-rendered type chalkboards, coffee and coffee cups, and music playing in the background.
Within the wooden box are takeaways that include a piece of origami paper along with a QR code and URL bringing the user to a page of origami instrutional videos. If the user posts their origami creation on one of the social media platforms listed, they are entered to win free coffee (donated by Stone Creek Coffee).
