E-commerce For Moda In Pelle

Weekly E-commerce In-Take at Moda In Pelle
On a weekly basis my role at Moda in Pelle requires me to shoot up to 150 styles a week. Each style requires 4-5 images for web and third party usage and needs to be formatted correctly for web systems to automate the upload.
Using 4 lights the camera is tethered into Capture One, the product is placed on a table with a wall as a white background.
Two lights bouncing off the white wall create a separable white background. Testing the shot to ensure the background colour value is just below 255 (between 245 and 255) for an easy photo cutout is key.
The softbox above creates a bounce off the white perspex table the product is balanced on as well as an even illumination and fill for the product from above.
The final octabox on the left of the product is camera is the final key light, filling the frame with the premium looking fill for the products to give it a lovely light source.

Creating groups in capture one while shooting creates for an easy streamlined workflow. This allows for easy naming conventions when it comes time to uploading and naming the files for web automised uploads.
Once exported the images need to be resized to 3600x3600 pixels, cleared of a white background, formatted to 72 ppi, sized consistently so that when they appear in line on the website that they all look congruent. Importantly the photos need to also be exported below 2mb's for fast optimised web loading.

Once done a swatch of 200x200 needs to be extracted from the image to switch between different style colours on different websites.
