Three Spirits of the Lake
A limited tone oil painting of a special place among my haunts as an artist. Three juniper trees have matured on this tiny island in the middle of the lake surviving ice storms, wind, and severe cold. They seem unchanging as the years pass by as though they carry the spirit of the lake.
As an illustrator even my fine art paintings take on a narrative form. Trees remain a lifelong theme for me because they tell the story of survival, adaptation, and change.
