Hat Day, as it is colloquially known, is the annual fundraiser for the Franklin Park Conservatory. It is a springtime luncheon centered around the theme of hats.

When approaching this project, I want to stay with a soft, feminine, springy color palette. Fashion illustrations of hats featuring watercolors are a really elegant look that I'm inspired by, as well as watercolor motifs of florals. The conservatory and park itself is also a really great inspiration point.

I then did a quick sketch-over of the thumbnail I liked the most and then input it into Illustrator to trace over.
