Dokkum is a small Frisian city in the Netherlands with approximately 13 000 inhabitants. The project attempts to enhance Dokkum's economic strive with an urban development reform to reveal the city's picturesque panoramas and to the old town and surrounding channels. Also the project introduces a new local music festival event called 'Rockum Dokkum' to further gather wider attention also from the younger audiences

Detailed project focuses on the renovation and improvement of the northern part of the embankment. Multifunctional tourist center, swimming pool, boat renting facility, yoga-dance-meditation center and an enhanced embankment, which is playful for kids and romantic for those in love - all created for the comfort of people of Dokkum and its visitors
Seasonal architecture - roof of the swimming pool can be moved to transform the sunny open summer space into a cosy closed winter space
