For my reception I wanted to create a unique invitation, something different to the other invitations I have made. I love nature and the free flow
of henna designs so I based my concept from an Emirati inspired henna drawing I did with a touch of rose-red colour as an accent. I wanted volume and depth so I hand-cut
flowers, added gems and played with the shape of the oval.

added the flowers and flourishes and started with the ink
started to apply colour to get an understanding of balance
finished up the drawing but I thought it still needed a bit of tweaking so I later made edits after the scan
