Amtrak Cascades Integrated System

Amtrak Cascades goes through the scenic Pacific Northwest - from Vancouver, BC to Eugene, OR.

The main objective of this project is to design an integrated system for Amtrak Cascades. This involved designing assets including a luggage tag, the train tickets and the route schedule, the food menu, as well as large-format billboards.
In terms of typographic decisions, I chose to use a geometric sans-serif typeface for all the important information, pairing it with something more approachable, such as Archer. In addition to this, I thought it might be more inviting to use something that is even more organic, leaving me to use hand-done type.

The colors, on the other hand, are heavily inspired by what the Pacific Northwest offers - its beautiful forests and trees.
The new design of the train ticket is more convenient for the rider - the ticket can be folded in such a way that if you keep it in your wallet or in your pocket, you can still see all the important details without even having to take the whole thing out.

Scroll down to see how it works.
The upper third of the ticket is taken by the train conductor, leaving the rider the rest of the ticket.
The remainder can be folded and slipped into your wallet or pocket.
Below are the large format billboards I designed to attract more people to experience Amtrak Cascades.
