Creating an identity for a far-reaching event allows us to further its goals, engage its participants, and set the mood for everyone involved. When the food giant Sigma Alimentos approached LAT to create an identity for its yearly innovation summit, it gave us a chance to impact the experience of over 1,300 people in 67 cities spread over 17 countries.

The event was held remotely, so we focused on creating rich connections over distance. This led us to the name “Connect to Innovate” and the primary visual element: a swirling, meandering line that joins different points in space and spells out ideas in the process.

The line’s soft curves and rounded volume help make its connections rich and solid. Its gradients, from neon green to blue to violet, give it movement and a high-tech edge. The event logo, which otherwise uses a condensed sans serif typeface, replaces the word “to” with a curly cursive to add contrast and continue the visual metaphor used throughout.
