Design Challenges for MFA Degree Program

This was the Design Challenge that was presented to us in the 2nd month of the MFA program.
My Version, simply put I pintooled and vectored this by just those means and filled each path using the color provided.
Original for the Optional Challenge
This was a bit more challenging however the principle of it was to get as close as possible.  I did a quick search and found an original version with it's full colors and mimicked them as closely as possible.
Original Version
My rendering of the original I spent a great deal of time on this, just so I could get the shadowing and alignment as close as I possibly could.
Original with notes to assist with how the document was put together.
My version, I'd love to say I did this by eye, I didn't, I followed the brief and kept everything aligned by using the reference to help everything stay aligned.
This was meant to be an original creation the ad copy and was only allowed to be done in the fonts assigned and the ad was more about what was being said then what was designed.
15 seconds
30 seconds
An Audio ad and scripting challenge this ad was meant to have a simple picture and narration only.  The best part about this was that I used my own southern charm to make it special, yes that's my voice.  The spot was done in the 30 and 15 second versions.
More of the southern charm in the video and audio spot, the actors were all well dog tired it seems.  I thought this was a lot of fun to make, the narration, ad copy and audio along with the most appropriate music was all done to create a narrative of whimsy and fun.
The photography was meant to celebrate earth day.  The photos were ours to select and make our own, we were given the choice to combine whatever we wanted to in Photoshop.  This was a picture that I frankensteined together from three separate photos.
This was done from two seperate photos.
We selected our favorites and were given the task to create a split pole banner ad.  This was version one, didn't go over to well feedback made it clear that a change in the main title was needed.
This version was identical other than the curvature of the text made the ad seem a bit more fun to look at.
My wife and I did this one together, it was a lot of fun to find and use all of these elements together, I was able to use whatever I wanted, so I chose to make this a fun project with a lot of the same elements from the static ad, however I used a ribbon and butterflies that I found video for to make this a bit more whimsical and lite.  My wife only had to do two takes to get the voice perfectly as feedback on her audio the first time meant we had to redo that.
