This campaign for Citibike is about availability. Every pixel represents a bike; while the numbers go up and the pixels add up it focus to become one single bike. The many pixels symbolize the thousands of bikes in the city, and when it focuses to one bike, it illustrates that there is always a bike available for you. There is no waiting involved when it comes to Citibike.
