Playgrounds BLEND - 2020 Opening Titles

When Playgrounds was forced to move their annual BLEND and Art Department festivals online in the early days of the pandemic, I wanted to create opening titles that would embrace the weird times we were in, rather than avoid them. And so, while on a Zoom call with my colleagues at The Panics, I got an idea –

962 printed pages, 3848 cut edges, 8 ink cartridges and 3 paper cuts later, the title sequence brings together every member of The Panics in a collaborative piece created from each of our homes. Mixing concept with craft and technology, it set the tone for Playgrounds’ first online festival.
