Project Pressure - Tarfala Valley

Project Pressure - Tarfala Valley
Not often do I get to work for a good cause and bring out my nerdiest side, so this was a project close to my heart. Using aerial photography of the Swedish Tarfala Valley dating back to 1946, 3D models of the mountain range at varios moments in time were created, thus allowing for precise volumetric measurements of the decline in glaciers.
Working together with photographer Klaus Thymann, the team at The Panics and I set out to convey the captured data in a way that was both easy to understand and visually appealing. The film premiered at the Unseen photo fair in Amsterdam in 2018, before making its way around the world as part of the larger Project Pressure exhibition.
