UCCELLO LOUNGE

Design on a Delicious Note

SeaGlass Management, owned by Loretta Keller and Clay Renolds, partnered with Conservatory of Music to develop a brand and website design for their new unique dining experience. The objective was to create a cafe/lounge element that serves the Conservatory students during the day and transforms to a sophisticated music lounge at night, serving private events and special activities as well. The design was inspired by their interior design, musical notes and classical musical instruments that would be heard at the restaurant. Waxwing birds together with the shapes from string instruments were used as the main inspiration for their brand, specially the logotype. The brand system was designed to put the power in the hands of the leadership to optimize every opportunity to promote new concerts, events, and food options as the seasons change.

The value added to the client was creating a collaborative and growth-filled space with a distinct brand identity. The design solution included creating a website, menus, coasters, and lapel pins for staff. Meryl Pataky was also partnered with to bring the Uccello logo to life in (neon) lights. The design aimed to put the focus on the musicians and delicious dining experiences, and the brand system was designed to optimize every opportunity to promote new events and food options.
