Toyota Motor Europe — Kenshiki Forum 2022

In December 2022, Toyota Motor Europe presented their vision of the future during their now famous annual Kenshiki Forum, an event hosted by Global and European executives of Toyota dedicated to the European media. The focus of this year’s Kenshiki Forum was on the company’s latest technology developments and strategy, carbon neutrality – with the reveal of new electric and hybrid car models – but also the company’s ongoing transformation towards becoming a mobility provider.




The Kenshiki Dōjō

For the occasion, we imagined the set design and created the event’s scenography inspired by the Japanese dojo, a place for immersive and experiential learning, but also meditation. The event took place inside an incredibly inspiring venue, namely the Skyhall in Brussels Airport, where the entire convention space bathed in natural light.

We proposed various setups for the 6000 sqm surface area including a plenary session auditorium, four dedicated deep dives spaces, a lounge bar, a dinner area, a confidential room and seven interview spaces, all echoing the charm of Japanese temples.




Visual Identity Applications

We also developed the Kenshiki Forum’s visual identity within the tailormade event, applying it to the many physical and graphical audiovisual elements, from walls and banners to badges and notebooks, but also animations and presentations.




Audiovisual Pieces

Lastly, we created and produced different animations that were used for the reveal of new car models emphasising their dynamism and appearance, but also their electric and futuristic character, which were projected on a 30m long and 3.5m high screen during the plenary sessions.
