Giant Ant Mentorship Program
During the COVID-19 period, I joined the mentorship program held by the creative studio, Giant Ant, and had an amazing 10-week. I was guided by my mentor, @conor_whelan_ , to create this little series. He taught me all the skills about animation and compositing with After Effect as much as he could in a limited time.
This little series was created to visualize my grandma's old housing estate in Hong Kong. It's a commemoration of my precious childhood with my lovely grandma.

I illustrated the illustration in Procreate and animated it in After Effect. Conor had taught me how to improve the lighting and polish the scene.
This was also illustrated in Procreate and animated in After Effect. Conor had taught me how to composit the lighting and use the 3D layer to model and animate the fan.
After illustrating in Procreate, I separated the layers and sent them to After Effect to set the scene with 3D layers. Conor had taught me how to composite with 3D layers and animate the gate and the smoke.
