According to the United Nations Environment Programme’s 2021 Food Waste Index, 931 million tonnes of food end up in landfills yearly. It suggests if food waste or loss were a country, it would account for the third largest source of greenhouse gas emissions on the planet. The graph shows what the average output of food waste looks like each year in different countries. Link to article source
What I did:
I've taken the information provided by Statista and redesigned it to make visually appealing and clean infographics. I've reduced the number of information shown in the original graph to top five countries only, and framed the numbers in bold background so the data stands out. I've considered the contrast of colors so the important information is not lost. The isometric look of the bar, use of modern font, and new layout transforms a standard data graphic.
