Guardian is a sans serif font inspired by a neo-grotesque design to invoke a knowledgable yet trustworthy company. This idea was the foundation to the re-branding of Guardian Technologies™ a leading edge company of home environment products.
The concept for this brands identity is through basic shapes using a 40x50 rectangle with modification to its rounded edges to create a typeface. Using visual simplicity to create a whole system based on a timeless and future-forward feel.
Using inspiration fonts to choose aspects that would create a successful typeface. Playing around with the degree of the rounded edges and the types of glyphs we would use helped accomplish the look and feel of the Guardian typeface.
