The Tibetian lunisolar calender (lo-tho) predicts that the year of 2023 will be the year of Hope. Saying hello to the first water rabbit of the century with this mural. Being the year of the yin Water rabbit, "Gui Mao," the year will bring good luck, peace, prosperity, and happiness to all of us.
"I decided to paint this mural on a very spontaneous decision: there had been the celebrations for the Losar 2051 for two days in the monastery and this spiritual hub of energy through the prayers and chanting all day and all night drove me to design and paint. Secondly, I just discovered how in Tibetan culture the calendar is not solar like, Georgian but it's a lunisolar calender. Each month, beginning and ending with the new moon. And this struck me to the awe, so here it is"
