We have the pleasure of working side by side with Ambient Inks as a “brother company” as well as getting to create a visual identity for such an awesome company. We’ve done almost all of the branding and advertising for them, with exception of their logo. The company itself is a friendly, and professional custom design & screen printing company that prints clothing as well as flat stock, so naturally there’s a lot of different colors and graphics coming through their shop all the time. We wanted to reflect that with the branding and advertising. We created a fairly extensive color pallet for Ambient Inks that gets used throughout the website design and print, as well as making several appearances throughout our advertisement collection. With the website design, the branding is very cohesive and follows strict branding guidelines to build a strong identity. Although with the advertisements, we decided to loosen up the guidelines and create much more graphic advertisements, because after all, screen-printing is a very graphic based art and we wanted to make that connection. So essentially we get to break the rules with Ambient Inks’ ads, which we love to do every now and then.
