The Journal of Cold War Studies

A faculty member at Harvard for over 40 years, Jorge I. Dominguez continues to publish research regarding Latin American countries’ historical development and current affairs. An active member of many professional organizations and committees, Jorge I. Dominguez served on the editorial board of the Journal of Cold War History from 2011 to 2018.

The Journal of Cold War History publishes content about the era in multiple forms. Its articles cover diverse countries involved in the long-enduring conflict, and encompasses political, economic, and social impacts of the tensions between the two military and political spheres. Today, it places special emphasis on publishing analysis using newly-unearthed and declassified documents from the period. The authors submit their work to rigorous empirical analysis during the peer-reviewing process. The journal also reviews new books covering international politics and the Cold War.

MIT Press publishes the Journal of Cold War Studies, and it is one component of the Harvard Project on Cold War Studies. It releases one issue, in print and digitally, each year, split into four volumes, published once per quarter.
