Dictionary of Ukrainianisms
The Polish word “Bohomaz” (a daub) means an ineptly painted picture. It originates from the Ukrainian language. I love to observe visitors to art museums, especially contemporary art ones. Some of them tilt their heads, wrinkle their faces in disgust and say: "what a daub, my child paints better". “Dictionary of Ukrainianisms. Interpreted by Polish and Ukrainian illustrators”, the exhibition organised by the Art Gallery Łódź and Łódź Design Festival.
