The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) plays a large role in informing the public of the latest developments with COVID-19. In early 2021, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, part of HHS, requested an explainer video that would bring awareness about clinical trials and safety standards used during the development of COVID-19 vaccines. The resulting video is located on the HHS YouTube channel and has over 600,000 views. It was a 2022 Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) Health + Wellness Awards winner.
